WRAL Night of Lights

The 2nd annual WRAL Nights of Lights event is here! Tickets go on sale on Thurs., Sept. 30 at 6pm. This year's event features more lights, more nights and fewer cars!

Towering oaks, rolling hills and open fields will be the magical backdrop for this dazzling light show throughout the park. Illuminated trees, festive light displays, and local art installations will delight visitors of all ages along the 1.3-mile route. General admission vehicles will enter Nights of Lights at the Hunt Dr. entrance to Dorothea Dix Park off Western Blvd. VIP Fast Lane ticketholders will enter Nights of Lights via Umstead Drive off Lake Wheeler Rd.

North Carolina Symphony Presents Holiday Pops

December 10-11, 2021. Fri. 8pm; Sat. 3pm and 8pm at Meymandi Concert Hall. Purchase tickets online.

50th Annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour

December 11-12, 2021 from 1-7pm throughout Historic Oakwood neighborhood. Admission $30-35.

Get ready to take a walk through history this holiday season, as a dozen properties in the Historic Oakwood neighborhood open their doors to visitors during the Annual Historic Oakwood Candlelight Tour®.

There's a feeling of a small town community right in the middle of Downtown Raleigh. Historic Oakwood is a community of homes most of which are dated from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. There's a continuing effort to preserve the Victorian, Queen Anne, and Craftsman architectural styles of these homes from a century ago. The immaculate care of the exteriors of the homes is only a prelude to the beauty and attention to detail given to the interiors.
